TEAM NEWS UPDATES
Off-Season Update! August 16th, 2009Our summer off-season has been a large success. We have participated in many events, including multiple charity walks, Celebrate Erie, a golf tournament fundraiser, FLL summer classes, several Seawolves games, and a mini-regional event at the Industry Club Expo. Our work during off-season is not over yet- we are currently selling tickets for this year's murder mystery dinner! It is $25 per ticket and is showing on November 14-15 and 21-22. Contact a team member for more information, and we hope to see you there!
Pittsburgh Regional! March 15th, 2009This weekend we participated in the Pittsburgh Regional. We were positioned in 9th place after the qualification rounds, picked up for the #2 alliance, and defeated during quarter-finals. Additionally, we took home the Motorola Quality Award and the Website Award. Go team!
Cleveland Regional! February 28th, 2009This weekend we participated in Cleveland's Buckeye Regional. Although our robot did not make it to the elimination rounds, we still brought home the Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers Entrepretneurship Award for our great business management and fundraising ability.
Billboards Are Up! February 6th, 2009 Thanks to the generosity of LAMAR Advertising, Team 291 has billboards advertising our team for the second year in a row! In the above picture is the billboard advertisement that can be seen in the Erie area.
Kickoff 2009! January 3rd, 2009On January 3rd, members of Teams 63, 291, 306, and 2544 met at the GE Learning Center for the kickoff of the 2009 build season. This year's game is named Lunacy. In this game, goals called "trailers" are attached to each team's robot. The objective of the game is to score balls into the opposing team's trailers.
